For over 18 years, the VEGA TAP name has been synonymous with quality in the area of high performance tapping. The combination of our unique geometry, premium substrates and the latest in coating technology, offer our customers optimal performance with minimal cost. Coming soon: in September of 2006, the newest member of our Vega Tap line-up: the XTF Forming Tap. Surface coated with TiCN which further enhances heat and wear resistance is well suited for high speed tapping. Made from high Vanadium HSS, the XTF taps have superior hardness and heat resistance. And since there are no cutting chips with the XTF Forming Taps, higher speeds can be achieved compared to conventional cutting taps, under certain conditions.
