VTC AND HITACHI EXTEND
LIFE OF
CARBIDE END MILLS WITH NEW CS COATING.
Schaumburg,
IL - With a focus on efficient production and long-lasting performance, Vega
Tool Corporation's (VTC) line of Hitachi tooling continues to gain attention.
Featuring a patented CS coating, their latest carbide end mills are no
exception. This coating effectively prolongs the life of the tooling to which
it is applied.
Hitachi CS
coating consists of nano-crystal that improves end mill lubricity, without
compromising tooling hardness. In fact, the CS uses less friction than
conventional coatings, improving the quality of the finished surface. In
applications using carbon steel cutting, Hitachi CS-coated power balls perform
three times longer than TiAIN-coated tooling. This coating technology, combined
with Hitachi tooling geometries, result in enhanced efficiency and accuracy,
especially when used with carbon steels.
CS-coated
tooling is ideal for use with materials ranging from mild steel to pre-hardened
steels up to 40 HRC, in either wet or dry cutting operations.
Along with
carbide tooling, VTC's Hitachi line includes indexable insertable tooling.
Indexable insertable tooling is designed for the high-feed machining of
hardened materials. This line removes up to three times more cubic inches of
metal per minute than competitor tooling.
Hitachi
tooling is best suited for automotive, mold & die, aerospace, medical and
oil patch industries.
